Schengen Haven was born from resilience, reinvention, and a dream of living freely.
For five years, we worked as teachers in China. We built our careers there and planned our future around it. But when the pandemic hit, everything changed.
After five years of stability, it was suddenly gone.
Like many others during that time, we had to adapt. We shifted to working from home and started building a small online business from scratch. What began as a survival move slowly turned into something bigger — a new direction, a new mindset, and eventually, a new life plan.
Four years later, that decision changed our lives forever.
We decided to apply for Spain's Digital Nomad Visa and pursue our dream of living in Europe.
